What Are the Massage Preparations and Technique

It can be very helpful to have a foot suzhou massage chart on hand when you’re starting out.  Even if you think reflexology is a load of crap, you can use the points as a guide for what you do on the foot; it can save you from just giving the foot a general rubdown and then sitting there wondering what to do next. You will want to use oil or cream if at all possible, as this makes it possible to use more techniques and some techniques are only possible if you use a lubricant.

To optimize the use of your hand, start out by making a proper fist. Your thumb should be tight up against your index and middle finger. Use the knuckles directly above the thumb to stimulate reflexology points. Your thumb will provide the support necessary to really dig in there. This is the way I deliver stimulation to most point on the foot during a massage in suzhou.

I also use my other knuckles extensively as these are hard points which can deliver the proper stimulation to the foot. To pinpoint specific points which are smaller, use this hand position with only the first knuckle. I do on anywhere from 8 to 20 strokes on average for a given point. Of all the foot massage suzhou techniques, this is the one I use the most. You can use this technique whenever you find points in fleshy areas of the foot (for example the kidney point located in the middle of the foot).
